Customer Care - Open 24 Hours, 6 Days a Week!
Hi, my name is Crystal and I am part of the overnight crew at NB Web Express. I am a member of the Customer Care Team. We place orders, answer lots of questions about foot ailments and injuries, and aim to find the right shoes or apparel to meet the needs of all who call or email.
NB Web Express transitioned to being open 24 hours right around the beginning of 2007. This has been an exciting time for us. It means that no matter what time you have a shoe question or want to place an order, we are here. I have had the good fortune of talking to many troops stationed overseas, international customers looking for marathon items, as well as folks in Hawaii (and the occasional insomniac). It always brings a smile to my face when I answer the phone and the voice on the other end says, “I didn’t think I would get to speak to a real live person at this time of night!”
It just goes to show how much we all care about our customers. We want to make sure we are here when they need us. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Women's New Balance Mira Short in May Issue of Runner's World
The New Balance Mira Short is featured in the May issue of Runner's World magazine.
"The Mira's feathery fabric makes them feel lightweight, even with the extra coverage offered by the 4.5-inch inseam. Roomy leg openings and a slightly indented side notch give the shorts shape while allowing a full, unencumbered stride. Testers loved the feel of the seamless liner and soft waistband, but not the shallow internal key pocket integrated into the liner on the right back hip..." --From "Runner's World Magazine"

Wear Testing: The New Balance 767
Cassie, our novice runner spent several weeks in the 767 supportive cushioning shoe. Like Tom, she wore this shoe over the course of her weekly workout regime. Here is her review on that experience:
It’s no wonder why Runner’s World named the 767 the best update of 2006. This shoe offers excellent transitional support and cushioning, the perfect mix of comfort and mild pronation control.
The 767 is a great choice for a runner who needs more support and technology from their running shoes without a premium price. Your legs and feet will thank you with TS2® Transitional Support for stability and the ABZORB® Strobel Board for a full length of maximum shock absorption and comfort. Exciting new additions to the 767’s are the Ortholite® foam inserts. These inserts not only add comfort with your steps, but they fight odor causing bacteria to keep your shoes clean and ready to wear.
The 767 offers excellent cushioning and support. This shoe is recommended for any runner seeking more support and slight pronation control from a running shoe. The added midfoot support make the 767 a great pick for competitive training.

Wear Testing: The New Balance 755
Tom, our veteran Wear Tester, has spent the last several weeks running in the New Balance 755. He added this popular running shoe to his running regime and passed on his expertise and veteran experience in his review. To aid fellow runners in their search for the perfect running shoe, Wear Testers have their own grading system for their review: 1-8 Mile(s)(Good) 9-17 Miles (Better) 17-26.2 Miles (Best). Here is Tom's review on the New Balance 755:
The M755CU is a nice improvement upon the M754WG. The ABZORB® Strobel board along with the ABZORB® FL gives this shoe a very soft and comfortable ride. New Balance lightened the shoe by 7/10 of an ounce over its predecessor and also added the Lightning Dry™ Collar and N-LOCK™ Midfoot Support. The M755CU is fitting similar to the M754WG (true to size). I’ve also noticed the effects of the Lightning Dry™ Collar as this shoe seems to dry quickly; although, the true test would be a run on a nice hot summer day in St. Louis!
The ABZORB® Strobel board along with the ABZORB® FL gives extra cushioning and shock dispersion. The N-Lock™ Midfoot Support gives a snugger fit through the arch area which helps to support the arch through the running gait cycle. The Lightning Dry Collar dissipates moisture which helps to keep the foot dry.
Tom recommends the 755 for the neutral runner looking for a well-cushioned running shoe. The 755 packs excellent comfort, adequate motion control and support. In terms of cost, the 755 is an excellent value priced at $84.99 on NBwebexpress.com and provides an excellent ride. Overall, Tom rates the 755: 17-26.2 Miles (Best)Look for other reviews on the NBwebexpress.com Blog!Coming Soon...the New Balance 767!

Wear Testers - Trust Runners, Not the Hype
When searching for the perfect running shoe, you have to consider all factors involved; your running gait, specific needs, past injuries, foot ailments, terrain, price range, etc. At NB Web Express, our Wear Testers have gone the distance in select running shoes and have offered their different levels of expertise in critiquing popular running styles. So, you just don't have to believe the hype, you can take another runner's word for it:
Tom our veteran runner, has been running for over 30 years. He started running in high school; he competed in both cross country and track. He continued to run competitively all through college, for training he ran as many as 90 miles a week. After college graduation, he competed in many road races typically 5K's and 10K's. He has only attempted one marathon; the St. Louis Marathon in 1985 with a finishing time of 2:29:42. He currently runs about 10 miles a week for fun and exercise; he does not run competitively anymore. His favorite running shoes have always been classified as ‘cushioning’ since his running gait is considered neutral.
Cassie has been running for almost 12 years, 4 of them competitively, although she recently started seriously running again to get back in shape after having her first child. She runs approximately 9-12 miles a week; both indoors and outdoors. She will be running her first competitive 5K race in 9 years this coming April. Cassie's favorite running shoes are supportive cushioning, she needs the extra support in the midfoot area for additional stability. She is the copywriter at NB Web Express.
In the last few months, our Wear Testers have added popular New Balance running shoes to their running workout regime. Reviews of popular styles such as the New Balance 755 and 767, will be coming soon to this Blog. Performance apparel will also be reviewed in the coming weeks. Check this Blog regularly to find out the latest scoop on New Balance running gear. Just remember; trust runners, not the hype. Visit NB Web Expressfor the latest New Balance gear!
